Renascer STP

RENASCER STP, Association for Sustainable Integrated Economic and Social Development is a non-governmental non-profit organization of public utility, with the mission of promoting the sustainable economic and social development of São Tomé and Príncipe, through the implementation of projects and actions that encourage youth employment, training, entrepreneurship and social empowerment, developing an important task in the context of combating poverty and social inequalities.

RENASCER STP defines its action in three axes:

• Economic Sustainability: economic development linked to social and environmental needs, aiming at the well-being and quality of life of populations, always aiming at maximum sustainability;
• Social Sustainability: social development aimed at prosperity and greater equality and equity of opportunities, reinforcing the fight against poverty in all forms;
• Environmental Sustainability: development and balance of nature through the maintenance and conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity.

Establishing as priorities 5 (+2) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), within the framework of its actions:

Goal1: end poverty in all its forms;

Goal 8: promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all;

Goal 9: build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation;

Goal 11: build resilient cities and communities, promote inclusive citizenship and foster a culture of sustainability;

Goal 13: promote urgent measures to combat climate change and its impacts, advancing with best practices to combat environmental destruction in any form;

+ Goal 14: conserve and promote sustainable ways of using the oceans, seas and their marine resources for sustainable development; It is

+ Goal 15: Protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of Earth’s ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, and halt and reverse land degradation and biodiversity loss.

Aligning with international agendas, namely the United Nations Agenda 2030, Agenda 2063 of the African Union.

RENASCER STP also promotes intercultural relations, through education, training and culture, making citizens more aware of global realities and committed to building a better country and world;

• Contributing to integrated community development in the associative, youthful, social, environmental, cultural, educational, scientific-technological and recreational dimensions;
• Contributing to the development of employment and training programs, and social integration, highlighting people with reduced mobility;
• Promoting the protection and defense of the environment and contributing to the promotion of sustainable development;
• Promoting citizenship, gender equality, in order to prevent any form of discrimination.

Committed to the sustainable and inclusive development of São Tomé and Príncipe, RENASCER STP identified some challenges that aroused and motivated its associates to embrace this mission with a selfless and resilient spirit, aware that the challenges along the way are as great as the achievement of the arrival, but construction is daily, improving someone’s day every day.

Together We Promote: Inclusion of Disabled and Blind People Social Housing; Education and training; Health care; Scholarships; Food Quality; Environmental Quality; Renewable energy; Tourism and Communities; Entrepreneurship and Microcredit; Basic and Social Infrastructures.
